Dr. Susan Vicente D. Villarente is an Associate Professor IV and the dedicated Program Head for both the Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNED) and Master of Arts in Education in Special Needs Education (MAED SNED) programs at the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP).
With over two decades of experience as a lecturer and mentor, Dr. Villarente holds a Doctor of Development Education (Dev. Ed.D) in Special Education from Cebu Technological University. She also completed specialized training in Special Education for the Handicapped at Miyagi University of Education and Hokkaido University in Japan.
Her professional interests focus on promoting inclusive education, curriculum development, and research in areas such as assistive technology and differentiated instruction. Dr. Villarente has been recognized for her service and leadership, receiving the Government Service/Loyalty Awardee and the Outstanding Alumna for Excellent Leadership from USeP, and serving as a Senior Reviewer for the International Academic Forum (IAFOR).
